I would like to use my blog as a platform to discuss an amazing cause brought to light by some amazing women here in Hampton Roads.
Habesha Momma is a non-profit organization with the slogan: Changing Lives, Transforming Furtures. And that is exactly what they are doing in so many ways. In November of 2015, they opened the Mulat Knowledge School. As the student size grows, the school will continue to grow. They provide free, specialized education to those children who would not otherwise have education. The school also allows Habesha Momma to connect and learn more about the community. This way they can identify needs in the community that need to be met.
To bring health and hope to Ethiopia, Habesha Momma has helped supply them with clean water through Friendly Water for the World and bio-sand water filters. For around only $100 you can provide clean water for a family for up to 30 years!
In October 2016, Habesha Momma opened Freedom House in partnership with Endihnew Hope in the city of Debre Markos. This home serves at risk children by providing them with food, shelter, clothing, health, and education. Thus, keeping these children from a life on the streets.
One of my greatest passions is supporting causes that touch my heart and Habesha Momma is an amazing cause. The way they care about these children and these families half-way across the world is incredible. If you would like to support their noble cause and help contribute to bettering our world, please contact them to see how you can help: firstname.lastname@example.org
Check out some photos I took of their recent fundraiser! The Habesha Momma Marathon Challenge got families up and moving together while also engaging with the community. Such a great way to raise money while bettering the world!
